Unhoused in Los Angeles

These photographs are from a year-long journalistic project started in spring 2004 during high school. Having been houseless myself for a few years, my aim was to help eliminate stereotypes around this community in Los Angeles. I conducted audio recorded and written interviews along with the photographs. This work was shown in Julia Dean workshops, Brentwood High School senior show, and during an alumni show and lecture at Brentwood. Select photographs along with a personal essay were published in the Brentwood Flyer in 2006.

Shot on tri x 400 black & white film
